Beyond the Headlines
$200,000 raised
San Diegans paid special tribute to law enforcement on Oct. 20 when nearly 600 guests attended our annual “Beyond the Headlines” luncheon. They showed their enthusiasm with contributions totaling more than $200,000 after Chief of Police William Lansdowne, Mayor Jerry Sanders and former Board Chairman Craig Irving provided insight into the SDPD’s financial constraints and the tremendous efficiencies resulting from community–supported programs, training and equipment the Foundation makes possible.

Friends inviting friends to explore cooperative crime-fighting opportunities is the key to the event’s success. Do you have a few friends you can introduce to SDPF in this fall? and we’ll show you how easy it is to support the men and women who proudly “protect and serve.”
