Bridging the Digital Divide:
What Parents Need to Know
We are offering programs around the County. Space is limited so advance registration is required. Please visit our registration page to see if there is a program in your area or to RSVP.
Accomplishments
- Detectives now use new computer systems and sophisticated software to review commercial and residential surveillance camera media to help apprehend criminal suspects.
- SDPD’s Homeless Outreach Team benefits from updated equipment and expanded mental health specialist hours. This nationally recognized program offers real solutions rather than the unending cycle of arrest, jail, and return to the street.
- Police dogs used for searches and suspect apprehension are important contributors to efficient police work and play a primary role as an alternative to the use of deadly force. Foundation grants ensure retiree and replacement schedules stay on track.

While officers respond to emergencies and crises,
the San Diego Police Foundation helps cover their back trying to get them what they need to do their jobs better. Your police department may not come to mind when you think about charitable giving, but there are few organizations that touch the lives of so many in San Diego.
